Taking recyclable waste out of your general waste and baling it will save you money. Firstly, it will reduce the cost of your general waste disposal costs. Simply because you are disposing of less waste to landfill you will pay less in landfill tax, lower disposal costs at landfill and less in transport costs. Secondly, your baled material will often be able to generate an income.

Beware of any baler salesman that guarantees that you will get an income. It will depend upon your location, how many bales can be collected at one time, quality of the material and the market rate at the time. Certainly, if you are able to bale into ‘mill sized’ bales then it would be very unusual not to receive a substantial rebate for cardboard, paper and various plastics.

‘Mill Sized’ vertical balers are by far the most popular type of vertical baler. Clydesdale has installed many different types of vertical ‘mill sized’ balers on the behalf of different suppliers. We are convinced that the DICOM A650 ‘mill sized’ baler stands head and shoulders above all the others in terms of ease of use, reliability, safety and value for money.

SMALL and MEDIUM SIZED BALERS
When there is not enough material available to justify a mill sized baler we can offer a range of smaller balers. It is important that the size of the material to be baled and the available power supply is taken in to account when choosing a baler. If you have wardrobe sized pieces of cardboard it really isn’t a good idea to choose a small baler requiring your staff to cut/fold the card before baling.
